This is widely popular book by author P. K. Ghanekar for planning a day long excursions around Pune.

     Ghanekar himself has travelled a lot and unveils great picnic spots around Pune in the proximity of 100 to 150 kms.

    These refreshing spots include various temples, caves, forts, pictures of valleys, historical monuments, beaches, forests etc. which are enjoyable by all age groups.

    Along with some norms for a day excursion, author has covered around 170 various spots with different sections as places on Pune-Mumbai Road, Pune-Khandala-Pali Road, Pune-Alibaug Road, Pune-Nashik Road, Pune-Nagar Road, Pune-Solapur Road, Pune-Saswad Road, Pune-Bhor-Mahad Road, Pune-Satara Road etc. For each roads, he has also illustrated with the help of maps and the spots plotted on them.
